Smiles.....

Here are a couple of cards I made last night using the Smiles C1397 stamp set. Aren't those just the cutest images?

I used Tulip, Garden Green and Black on this card. The colors is a bit washed out in this photo, but in person it is really bright. I popped out a couple of the flowers. Looks like they are casting a shadow on my card. :)

I used Honey and Black for this card. The right edge is scalloped with black under it. I think those little flowers would make great sparklers for the 4th of July. Just add blue and red. What do you think?

Pink and Blue

Did you know that in the Close To My Heart Idea Book there are color suggestions on every page? Well, almost every page. Each page that displays papers and stamp sets shows the colors used for the artwork on those pages. That's how I decided on the colors for these cards. I looked on page 55 of the Spring Book and chose Bamboo, Blush and Crystal Blue.
I used those colors and the Springtime stamp set D1415 to make these cards. On this 4.25x5.5 card, I also used Blush Ribbon and D1361 Thank You. Aren't the boots great? The spots on the card are made using the eraser end of a pencil dipped into ink.
Here I used a piece of Blush ribbon also on the 5x5 card. I added a bit of Grey Wool for the handle. The patterned paper is the reverse side of the plaid in Twitterpated.

This is a 3.5x8 card using pop dots for dimension and Crystal Blue buttons from the Winter Button Collection. There is Waxy Flax in the buttons. So easy to use!

Here is another picture of the card.

On this card, I used the April Stamp of the Month. Our Acrylix stamps can easily be shaped to fit on this circle. There are Bitty Sparkles in the centers of the flowers. The patterned paper came from the Emporium Paper Pack and the That's Amore paper pack.

A Page from the Miracle Kit

Here's the first page of the great new kit available now through the end of May. We are celebrating National Scrapbooking Month with this fabulous Miracle Kit. Jamie sent several great pictures to me of himself at college. I enlarged this one to an 8x10 and trimmed it to fit. Really easy. Now I will add journaling and it will be complete. There is no stamping involved with this kit. Just Stickese and Dimensional Elements. Fast and Simple. Check out my website to see how to get your Miracle Kit! http://www.kimschnoor.myctmh.com/

Heart 2 Heart Challenge

Mary and the Design Team at Heart 2 Heart have thrown out their first challenge. I thought I would try one, just for fun. Hopefully, you can see the colors. I seem to be having an issue with my camera. Borrowed it to DH the other day. That could be the reason why. :) The sketch for the card was inspired from the Mojo Monday challenge.
This is a standard sized card. I used:
Chocolate and Sweetleaf cardstock
Patterned paper from the More to Adore and Emporium Paper Packs
D1191 Friendship Blessings stamp set
Chocolate, Sweetleaf and Sunflower ink
Just Blooms flower, Basic Button and Waxy Flax
Popdots, sanding and the paper punch
Drop in on Mary and see the wonderful cards she and her team have created!

Another Card with Flower Pot

This is an 8 1/2 by 3" card made using the "Roundabout" pattern from Wishes. I used the same colors as the card in the previous post. Colors used are Spring Iris, Sweet Leaf, Blush and Creme Brulee. The patterened paper is from the Daydream paperpack. I also used Blush ribbon and our tiniest Just Blooms paper flowers. They come in a bulk pack of different sizes and these were dyed Blush using Blush Reinker and a bit of water.
Here is a close up of the flowers. To dye paper flowers:
Take a Craft Jar Z188 and put a few drops of reinker in the bottom. Add a few drops of water to this. The intensity of the color will be determined by how much reinker you use. With these little flowers it doesn't take too much liquid.
Just drop the flowers in for a couple of seconds till they color, then use tweezers and remove from the dye.
Dry on paper towels
Add to your artwork
Just as simple as that!
