Horizons and Katie

Here are some cards I made to send with Katie to show at her JumpStart Party at the end of this month. She has signed on as a consultant for CTMH. How great is that! So I'm helping her out (being a good upline) and making cards with the new stampset called Horizons that can be found in the 2011 Spring/Summer Idea Book. Colors used were: Colonial White, Cococa, Cranberry and Desert Sand. I also used Colonial White and Cranberry accents. I used waxy flax on the 3x3 card and the insides of the buttons.

The card sizes are 5x7, 4.25x5.5 and 3x3. I used the patterns from our great card making books. I hope I have inspired you and I also hope these inspire Katie's new customers!

My Snow Baby

We had about 4 inches of new snow yesterday. Lucy decided this morning that she would go out exploring. I don't know if she ever found what she was looking for, but she picked up a bit of snow in the process.

What would I do without her to make me smile!

I've Been Gone Too Long!

I'm sure you are wondering what an oven has to do with anything, but I guess I am using this as a new beginning. The guys installed my new oven (Christmas present from my dh) today. Mine was 35 years old and really wasn't all that great any more. I hadn't realized that I had been gone so long from the blogging world. When the diagnosis of cancer was put in front of me, all life stopped except for my health and family. But I am coming back, going forward and getting a little excited to do some cooking again.
